THE SAN FRANCISCO OPERA SHOP WELCOMES YOUR PATRONAGE!
The Spring Season at the War Memorial Opera house is upon us. Traditions in three of the greatest operas get a good jostling in their productions as well as sensational casting. We open on May 31 with RIGOLETTO, curses and all, with San Francisco favorite Quinn Kelsey in the title role. Mozart's immortal DON GIOVANNI follows to prove again that love is both comedy and tragedy. Ildebrando D'Arcangelo makes his much-anticipated San Francisco Opera debut in the title role. Finally, snow falls in the Summer of Love when Puccini's LA BOHEME opens in June; the most popular opera of all time in a gorgeous, vibrantly colorful production.
Please look at our current recommendations for each of these operas on CD, DVD and Blu-Ray on the product pages - and get familiar with the repertoire unfolding on stage!
Coming soon! Three posters (and tees!) commemorating our Spring productions and the Summer of Love by famed Oakland-based graphic artist MATT LEUNIG. Please watch for these posters soon to splash on the Opera Shop website. Please see the images under POSTERS.
